Bespoke Clothing was established by Yong Jiu Chen in 1993. Initially operating out of his garage with the help of his siblings, the business later moved to a small-town facility. Today, our factory occupies over 900 square meters of fully equipped space in the heart of Christchurch. Bespoke Clothing now employs 32 highly qualified professionals dedicated to delivering the highest standards in uniforms across New Zealand. Our clientele has historically included schools, government agencies, and healthcare providers. We offer comprehensive services from pattern making to embroidery, ensuring the production of flawless final products for our customers.
We are proud to have some of the most loyal customers in the country, including a wide range of big companies such as Argyle Uniforms, NZ Uniforms, Alinta Apparel, Workwear Group, Deane Apparel, Arrow Uniforms and Booker Spalding. These don't include smaller companies or one off services such as the NZ Olympic team uniforms and wedding suits for celebrities.
To match our manufacturing quality, we choose to use high quality tailoring accessories. We support the local economy by choosing suppliers such as Charles Parsons, Hawes & Freer and YKK. This ensures reliability and avoids issues that may arise whilst using offshore companies. Over the years, we have built up good relationships with our suppliers.
Our company provides shirts, jackets, trousers and skirts for those government agencies such as Air New Zealand, Fire and Emergency Service, Corrections Department, New Zealand Defense Force etc.
With school uniforms making up the majority of our manufacturing, we supply schools with high quality uniforms to the majority of schools Nationwide. These garments can include shirts/blouses, shorts/skirts, tunics/kilts, blazers and much more.
We supply scrubs to the public and private health sectors such as hospitals, radiology departments, community services for healthcare professionals etc.
Recently our company has incorporated a significant amount of manufacturing as well as embroidery for restaurants who require these such as Coffee Culture, and many places that need specific uniforms for their chefs and kitchen workers.
In 2020 Bespoke Clothing opened a suit hire store in Christchurch for those who require these for special occasions such as school formals, weddings and other black tie events. With all suits locally made and altered to perfection, customers can be rest assured of the quality they are paying for. A more recent online store has also been developed for Womenswear such as formal jackets and Winter coats. Both these sites can be found in the menu bar.
We supply many corporate companies such as banks who also require a uniform. These can include bulk orders or small orders for companies that aren't as big.
Here at Bespoke we also strive to look after large companies who require repair work done from offshore manufacturing issues. From suits to shirts to outdoor gear, simple issues can be repaired extremely quickly for bulk quantity garments.
To provide sustainability, we prioritize environmentally friendly practices in every aspect of our manufacturing process, from sourcing materials all the way down to distribution.
We take pride in the quality of our garments, ensuring our customers feel confident and comfortable in every garment made.
We like to constantly review and update our designs and methods to ensure customer satisfaction when keeping up with new trends or improvements
We recognize our responsibility to contribute positively to society and to ensure full support of our customers. This means we support charitable initiatives and understand the importance of giving back to the communities.
